About Howard Greenberg
Howard E. Greenberg, SIOR has been active as a commercial real estate broker since 1986, and formed Howard Properties, Ltd. in 1998. Mr. Greenberg specializes in Tenant Representation and Corporate Services, and has completed lease transactions and consulting assignments for clients in twenty states.
He is widely considered to be an expert in the Westchester County, New York commercial real estate market. He strongly believes that businesses should be professionally represented in the space search, selection, and negotiation process. Mr. Greenberg has dedicated his firm solely to providing professional real estate services to corporations, privately held companies, law firms, and not-for-profit organizations.
His client list includes Ameritrade, AMICA Mutual Insurance Company, Connecticut General Insurance Company, The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Legal Aid Society of Westchester County, Nortel Networks and Wilson Elser.
In 2011, Mr. Greenberg represented the law firm of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, LLP in a 125,000 SF relocation, which was the county’s largest lease transaction of the year.
Other prominent recent transactions include a 150,000 SF Data Center lease in New Jersey, a 50,000 SF office/laboratory renewal in New Jersey, a 48,000 SF office lease in New York City, and a 32,000 SF office expansion and extension in Westchester County, New York.
Mr. Greenberg is the only broker in Westchester to have attained the SIOR Office Specialist designation. Mr. Greenberg won the award for the Largest Lease Transaction in the CORFAC network in 2009, and received the award for the Largest Research & Development Transaction in the network in 2010. He has made multiple presentations at CORFAC conferences on best practices in Tenant Representation.
He has won numerous other awards, including Broker of the Year and Creative Deal of the Year from Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, Westchester’s largest owner of commercial property. He has been designated a CoStar Power Broker by the number one provider of information, marketing, and analytic services to real estate professionals.
He has appeared on MSNBC, and has been quoted and featured in numerous publications, including the New York Times, Crain’s Small Business, Real Estate Weekly, the Journal News, and the Westchester Business Journal. He has spoken at industry events for BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) and the Westchester County Board of Realtors Commercial and Investment Division.
